The Scottish Heavy, or 70 Shilling, is an easy-drinking, malt-focussed pub classic. Maris Otter and Aromatic provide a tasty toast-and-jam barley base with Chocolate malt adding a reddish hue; wheat and oats fill out the body. We use English Archer hops to deliver a light hop freshness with notes of floral, orange citrus and a pinch of coriander adds complexity and depth, amplifying the juicy fruit flavours. There’s just enough bitterness for balance and a lingering fruity finish.Â
